Where grief meets glitter and God turns brokenness into shimmer and belonging

Welcome Disco Sisters

To be a Discoball Theologian is to let God glue the broken bits back together, letting His light shine through the smashed pieces. It’s stepping into ache and shimmer at the same time, knowing both are holy and both belong.

It’s to carry the courage of the matriarchs: Noa, Deborah, Ruth, and all the women who trusted God with their stories. Their faith reminds us we are part of a long, holy lineage.

It’s to know, deep in your bones, that you belong fully, beautifully, unconditionally in God’s story, in the church, in theological spaces, and in community.

Shine. Grieve. Celebrate. Step boldly into your calling. Your broken pieces are not a liability- they are surfaces God twirls His light across.

At DiscoTheo, we celebrate women’s strength, grit, resilience, and beauty. We also grieve with those in pain and trauma, holding space for the ache as much as the joy. Both matter. Both belong.

DiscoTheo is more than a brand, it’s a way of being, a sisterhood where women find belonging, biblical literacy, and the courage to walk boldly in their faith.

You are a Disco Sister. You belong. You are already radiant.

Here, broken pieces are gathered. Here, restoration shines. Here, you belong.

with grace, grit, and shimmer,

About the Disco Theo

Kerena Marie is a theologian, godmother, writer, and tender-hearted storyteller who believes even the shattered things can shine again. She holds a BA in Ministry to Women from Moody Bible Institute and an MA in Biblical and Theological Studies from Moody Theological Seminary.

After walking through the unwanted asunder of her marriage, Kerena discovered how many Christian women were anguished, questioning their place in the church, and wondering if they still belonged. Her heart is to help women and children know they are safe, seen, and invited to be with God- and that they can, should, and must step into every calling He has for them. Neither their gender nor anything they’ve done, or had done to them, can disqualify them from what God has in store.

Kerena is the founder of DiscoTheo, a brand and online space that helps Christian women, especially those healing from divorce, step into every space God calls them to. DiscoTheo brings shimmer to broken places, reminding women they belong in theological spaces, in the Church, in community, and in God’s story. Through storytelling, theology, and beauty, it seeks to illuminate hope, healing, and empowerment.

When she’s not writing or teaching, Kerena can be found renovating her pink Chicago bungalow (Lily House), gardening with her godkids, rollerblading by Lake Michigan, or sharing laughter and coffee with friends on her beloved pink couch.
